Yeah Cotto doesnt seem to have an asnwer for the right hand or uppercut. Luckily for him, he's pretty decent at defending the hook when he fights more cautious. Oscar's hook is really explosive though, it'll be interesting.

Kball was right about Cotto having more trouble with the looping or chopping right, but even though Oscar throws his straight he will still hit Cotto with it because he's good at setting it up with his jab. I dont see it being a punch that KO's Cotto though.

Is a 5-11 Oscar the biggest and tallest fighter Cotto will have faced???

But Oscar's popularity has to have subsided a little.

I think Kelson Pinto was about that tall.

Yeah. Pinto and Bailey are both around 5'10. Quintana a bit shorter.

He destroyed him. Pinto kept trying to trade with Cotto, who's shorter punches kept getting their first. That was actually Cotto at his best.

Let me qualify this by saying that Oscar is my least favorite fighter in boxing. But lets look at 2007. The two biggest fights were Mayweather-DLH and Mayweather-Hatton. Even after Floyd beat Oscar, the Hatton fight (in the US) did a little more than a third as many buys. The 3rd place fight wasn't even close. Obviously his PPV value will eventually diminish, but the numbers show that Oscar is by far the biggest PPV draw in boxing right now.

lol You don't need to read minds to know that. Cotto is officially overdue for a Mayweather fight. It's not only the logical fight to be made at 147, but it's THE fight to be made at 147. And no one said Cotto shouldn't fight, he just shouldn't fight Oscar. More importantly, Oscar should step aside and take Williams. Williams Vs Oscar would be great. Let Cotto hunt down Mayweather.
