I do i agree that he needs some decent wins before he can even talk about fighting a big name like cotto or floyd and a possible rematch with williams.

The reason he is feared is because he has had trouble getting top welters to fight him. I think that will change this year and he'll either step up or he won't. But you can count on him being a tough fight for anyone at 147 lbs.
Couldnt of said it better, their's your answer.

So let me get this straight...

Floyd Mayweather is constantly criticized for fighting Zab Judah because he was coming off a loss.

But the order of the day is to fight Antonio Margarito, coming off a loss to Paul Williams, or a win over Golden Johnson... whichever one sounds better, because that is really up for debate.

          So why the double standard?

I don't see it as a double standard. The reason Floyd was criticized was because he was fighting for the welterweight title against the guy who just lost it. By most standards Judah blew the PPV payoff (and the title) with the loss. He definitely took less money than was originally agreed on. So afterwards Mayweather beat Baldomir to cover both sides of the coin and remove any doubt. It is old news now and nobody has really talked about this since then. As for Margarito, he is now just a welterweight contender. He lost a competitive fight with Williams and won his comeback fight like he was supposed to. If he isn't fighting Mayweather or DLH next, where is the double standard? Certainly not in fighting contender turned trial horse Zab Judah.
