At 27 Cotto should be fighting the big fights and if he wins, he will be a great opponent for PBF in 09 or Williams, if PBF decides not to fight again.
Not only that but Cotto said he'll fight until he's 30, that leaves him under 3 years to make his mark, roughly 6-8 fights. Another HOF is a good choice no matter how you slice it.

Is Cotto willing to move up to 154 though? Cause you know Oscar aint moving down to 147.... I would say that DLH knocks Cotto out late with a left hook. But... Cotto has proved me wrong twice in a row...

he really said that he will fight until he hits 30 ?
i doubt it, every fighter wishes to retire,
if he does he will probably come back

Cotto and Oscar can meet at a catch weight(say 152 or 150). If they fight I'd pick Cotto, but I think it'll be close like the Mosley fight. I don't think Oscar will want to get hit as much as Mosley did though. Oscar has to outbox him to win. I can't see Oscar brawling and taking Cotto out.

BTW Didn't Oscar's wife say she didn't want DLH to fight a Puerto Rican?

yeah, he said it. He might retire, he might not but that was the plan.

not to discredit ODLH to much, but if you think sturm beat him (which I do) Then ODLH has lost 4 of his last 5 fights! He's not gonna beat Cotto.

well to go by what you are saying, judah lost to baldomir and baldomir at the time had 9 loses on his record, so a loss don't matter,
what matters is the condition the fighter is in at time they meet,
dlh still has at least 1 more fight in him,
based on oscar's last performance and cotto's last performance, dlh would take it IMO idk

Regardless of who wins if they fight it would be great to see a nice, professional, classy guy like Cotto make the kind of money he would make vs DeLaHoya.

Anyone who feels that DLH will KO Cotto has a huge misconception of what Cotto is capable of. Furthermore, those of you who state that Cotto will have problems with DLH's pressure/aggresiveness have it backwards. DLH will have a huge, huge problem keeping up with a fighter that fights at the workrate of Cotto. Cotto will damage DLH and retire him. It would be a sad day in DLH's life.
