    if cotto passes on dlh which i doubt arum would wanna let that happen,
    cotto must fight margarito and might get his first loss,
    that's an even riskier fight and would make less,
    so cotto should just take the dlh fight is presented

      if at 147. I'll bet with anyone that Cotto wins.

        Cotto is not bad at defending the left hook except when he shoots inside, or trades carelessly. The right hand seems to be the punch that lands often on him.

        I'm curious to see how Cotto attacks Oscar. Body punching was a non factor last fight. It was used more to set up head shots.

          I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't even think it would be competitive. I think Oscar would stop Cotto ala Chavez I or Mayorga. I really think it would be a ruthless beating. Maybe a few knockdowns, with Cotto bleeding badly, cut, swollen but coming on bravely, but getting stopped in 5 or 6. Maybe even a full on KO, forget TKO. Just my thoughts. A significantly inferior Ricardo Torres just about killed Miguel. Ancient Shane Mosley rocked him. Feather Fisted Malignaggi rocked him. Light hitting-no-where-near-Oscar's-calibur DeMarcus Corley rocked him. Zab Judah just about had Cotto seemingly out 2 or 3 times. Yes, Cotto looks better in every fight and is clearly maturing as a fighter, but Oscar will just be too much. Oscar has a killer jab when he uses it. I think that Oscar's left hook eventually finds Cotto's chin (could be the 1st round, could be the 5th or 6th, could be the 12th) and puts him straight to bed. My official pick:

          Oscar de la Hoya KO6 Miguel Cotto.

                I think Cotto will get steamrolled.

                Oscar hits harder..has better handspeed..has better defense..fought better comp...just an all around better fighter...not to mention a size..height and reach advantage...and a solid chin.

                Oscar by KO...in 6 rounds.

                Not to mention thsi fight will be at 154..and Oscar will weigh close to 170 pounds.

                  haha Sorry to Laugh, but besides Mayorga, who was the last person ODLH brutally beat down recently? ODLH is not hungry anymore, he's over the hill, lost 3 out of his last 5, and hasn't fought as a Welter in some time. Now yall think he's just gonna step down and beat the crap out of Cotto who beat Mosley, when ODLH lost to him twice. I dunnnno. Cotto is young and consistently improving, undeafeated, has shown a wide ray of skills. He's in his prime and will slowly make Oscar gas. If anyone is getting knocked out it ODLH by a body punch, and Ill be laughing when he's on the ground again

                    first off, Cotto has the weakest chin... And Oscars left hook is still there...

                    Oscar is about to retire, he will prolly give it his best to go out with a win and call it a career..

                      i really can't watch the replay just because of joe cortez (that *****);
                      he should be banned, pbf got clocked on round 1 and almost went down,
                      but the ref played a big role in helping floyd win, i wonder if he get paid under the table to do that by pbf...hmmmmm
