The Vazquez/Marquez trilogy being on Showtime is somewhat handicapping.........

    That's cause HBO has TONS of lights EVERYWHERE in the arena. Whereas, Showtime usually only has light on the ring and that's it. You get a dark backdrop to the fight in the middle and it gives things a darker look all around in general. Sure I wish a lot of fights happened on HBO, but ya know what, Showtime usually gets these great fights that come outta the blue. It's good to have competitors to keep the top dawg sharp. It can only make HBO better.

      That aside, **** all this. I understand your point, but HBO had the damn fight in their hands. They didn't want to pay (not even putting up HALF of what Showtime offered for the first fight), so it's their loss.

      Where Showtime would be better served is parlaying its resources within Viacom, and airing such fights via week-later tape delay on CBS. Not to mention using CBS to advertise its upcoming fights, especially a must-see event such as this.
      damn, i wasnt aware of that.
