the attention that it should be getting in my opinion. For some reason, it sometimes feels that HBO are more important. Thoughts?
The Vazquez/Marquez trilogy being on Showtime is somewhat handicapping.........

yea i agree. And HBO's set up is all together much more satisfying.
It seems like the SHOWTIME fights have a red tint on the screen right? It doesnt seem nearly as clear or bright as HBO fights do.
HBO's presentation >>>>>>>>>>> SHO's presentation -

it must be your tv...because my showtime caps (championship fights) are much brighter
and clearier than the hbo caps ....
its weird kuz the calzaghe/kessler fight was the CLEAREST HBO PROD. ive ever witnessed but its krazy because the PPVS dont look as good as the regular hbo world championship productions
its krazy, but something ive noticedComment

gatti ward 1st
barrera morales 2nd
vasquez/marquez 3rd
the first two beat it out easily kuz they went 12 rounds non stop
however i do believe barrera/morales 1 was vastly overrated
however all 3 gatti/wards blew me away
vaz/mar 2 wuz overrated in my opinion as well
and wuz ruined because i believe it wuz stopped too early
but wutever thats my 2 cents lolComment

Vaz-Mar 2 was unbelievable but i agree that the stoppage kinda ruined it when i was watching it live. Now that i know about it though, it doesnt matter much.
The third is gonna be amazing though. cant waitComment

The coverage the fight will get on BoxingScene will atone for whatever was missed out on HBO not being in the loop.
That aside, **** all this. I understand your point, but HBO had the damn fight in their hands. They didn't want to pay (not even putting up HALF of what Showtime offered for the first fight), so it's their loss.
Where Showtime would be better served is parlaying its resources within Viacom, and airing such fights via week-later tape delay on CBS. Not to mention using CBS to advertise its upcoming fights, especially a must-see event such as this.Comment
