The similarities between Gatti and Paulie are as follows: they are both male.... that's about it.

Gatti was a warrior in the ring. He is respected throughout the boxing world as a fight that gave it his all every single second of every round. He was involved in some of the most brutal and exciting fights ever. (ward 1, 2, 3)

Paulie unfortunately will never be involved in a true blood and guts war. It's just not his style. He is a slick fighter with little power. His popularity comes from his brooklyn background.

Outside of the NY/NJ area, Paulie is a relative unknown. Gatti on the other hand, is a boxing legend in his own.

A lot of you missed the point in this thread, which was just to suggest that Paulie can become the new darling of the Atlantic City fight crowd. Look at my above post: Paulie fits the bill.

i wouldnt go as far as to say that its an insult to compare there fame but its true gatti did earn his following the hard way... by getting in there and ****ING at all times and was willing to take as much punishment as ANYONE in the sport.. malignaggi is a slick boxer and there are those out there who like his style, but its true the fact, being itallian is his draw.
