It helps to have a promoter who believes in you. Paulie did his best to win the fight, but his body language and facial expressions suggest that he wasn't confident he deserved the decision. When his corner hoisted Paulie on their shoulders, he was looking down and almost preparing to apologize for a lackluster performance.

Contrast that with Ngoudjo, who was smiling in celebration and looked the part of the winner. He wasn't at all bitter about the decision because he had a taste of house-fighter advantages on big fight cards with Castillo. He'll get another opportunity because of his impressive showing. I don't think Paulie wants a rematch, though.

he hit him with enough jabs and uppercuts to win the fight.like i said it wasnt pauli's best performance and i was disappointed, but ngoudjo did not come to take the belt from the champ.what was ngoudjo waiting for?every time they showed replays after the round except for the 7th,all ngoudjos punches were glancing blows, nothing clean and yes paulie is no willie pep.

I thought Ngoudjo won by 1 but would have accepted a draw also.

That was the first thing I noticed as well, you know sometimes fighters will try to put up their hands showing they won, but its their body language that they can't hide. Ngoudjo was estactic when the fight ended due to him being supremely confident he won, yet Paulie looked like he was just glad the fight was over. I had it 7-5 Ngoudjo but a draw or maybe 7-5 Paulie could be fair. But 117-111 smells of hometown decision. Its funny how the past 3 fights of Herman's have all been controversial.

The fight was close but not close enough to give it to Paulie. There is no question that Herman won this fight. Herman brought the fight to Paulie all night and battered him round after round. He clearly had Paulie in trouble in one of the rounds in which Paulie him self admits that he was hurt.

I was rooting for Paulie and I believe he is great for boxing but he was given a gift tonight. He better start learning to put together 3 and 4 punch combinations instead of just a jab and grab approach.

I had Ngoudgo winning by a few points. Malingnaggi couldn't break an egg with those fists.

LOL. And what fight were you watching again? Paulie got tagged with right hands most of the fight by Herman and it was a right that clearly hurt Paulie at one point in the fight and yet, "ngoudjos punches were glancing blows, nothing clean..."

No less than a draw or win for Ngoudjo! He won the fight and I don't understand how the 117-111 judge can even explain that.......

I'm a "Paulie Fan" and came in the fight wanting to see him win but he lost, a total 360 from what were use to seeing and he was punished alot more.... What kind of punishment did he exactly do? After Round 2 it went down hill
