Ngoudjo was ROBBED! I scored the fight 7 rounds to 5 in Ngoudjo favor.

No way did Paulie win that fight, but I like the way he called out Ricky Hatton afterwards. On the back of that performance, Hatton would totally destroy the guy, with ease. I dont care how much punishment he took from Cotto, Hatton would put him away inside 6. And I like the guy

        Malignaggi getting the work in

It was good for the champ to get the rounds in last night. He pulled out a tight victory on ring generalship. Hopefully Dibella can kep him busy so he can stay sharp in '08.

I wasn't impressed at all with Malinaggi, but I thought that he probably won by two points or so. He has to fix a lot of things on both defense and offense before he fights any top tier guy though IMO.

Anybody who writes the words "Shame on you!" is a ****. As though any of us judged this fight.

Apparently you don't either. Anybody that thinks Paulie won this fight is simply biased toward the bigger name fighter just as the judges were tonight.

After round 1, Paulie did little more than jab and grab. Herman pressed the action all night, landing many nice right hands that at one point had Paulie in trouble. I think you should seriously re-read your own statement and look in the mirror.

Count on the USA for bull**** decisions

Never have I witnessed such idiocies and once again..american bull**** as I have seen after last saturday nights fight when Ngoudjo should have clearly been declared the winner and new IBF champion. Even The annoucer Jimmy Lennon Jr. was reported seen leaning over to Ngoudjo's corner after making the shamefull decision annoucement and said to Ngoudjo's men that they had just been robbed. These same comments were also heard from Showtime's own primary commentator, M. Jim Gray. Why the heck was this fight beeing judged by 3 AMERICAN JUDGES, all stemming from the New york/New Jersey area ? What... wasn't Malignaggi good enough to win on his own ? You could surely learn a thing or two from our promoters in Montreal, either GYM (Groupe Yvon Michel) or INTERBOXE. It's not for nothing that the high spheres of boxing now consider Montreal as the second largest boxing capital next to Las Vegas. At least we are honnest and don't need to fix a championship fight with local judges. This is twice now that Ngoudjo is ripped off from your judges (against Jose Luis Castillo and now Paulie Malignaggi). But remember this...Ngoudjo will become world champion one day, sooner than you may think. And he will remain champ for a long time. Go Ngoudjo go !

It was close... For those of you who say that it was a robbery and Ngodjou clearly won 7 rounds, please enlighten me on what 7 rounds were clearly won by him. There were definitely some rounds that coul have gone either way, but i cannot find 7 rounds that Ngodju clearly won.

I would agree that the fight was very close.... I would say a draw or 115-113 Paulie.

I would also say that the beating that Paulie recieved by Cotto possibly damaged him for life.

Ngoudjo clearly won 8 out of the 12 rounds, arguably 9. He was the aggressor throughout the fight, cutting the ring effectively, pressing the pace, while Malignaggi was running in circles and holding constantly. In fact, Malignaggi's holding was so egregious that one or two points could have been deducted from his scorecard. He didn't have much of a choice though, holding was the only way for him not to be knocked out by a superior and much stronger figher.
How all three judges could have all given rounds 11 and 12 to Malignaggi is beyond me. And three judges from the Tri-State area in a championship match involving a boxer from New York, that's a joke !
This is one of the biggest roberries I have ever seen. That a judge gave 117-111 to a boxer who ducked, ran away, held and threw punches for form without hitting his opponent solidly even once, is preposterous.
