The problem with Hatton is that he has failed to really impress in terms of boxing ability in his last 4 fights (Collazo, Urango, Castillo, Mayweather). Yes he beat Castillo convincingly but unfortunately people aren't gonna accept that Hatton is gonna simply liver punch every opponent into submission.

So the end result is that after 2 years of failing to produce anything "special" people simply forget about his previous performances and begin to wonder if he has anything to offer other than endless enthusiasm and a potential KO punch.

Hence, when he returns to training he is gonna need to rebuild his rep quickly cos to be honest his recent fight history has been the most challenging period of his career and he has failed to display anything that will trouble a fighter who is able to avoid getting into a scrap with him. Maybe it's no coincidence that this trouble patch has occured in his first 4 fights on US soil.

P.S. - The silly excuses for not wanting to fight Witter have to stop. If he is really against the fight that much then he should just keep quiet cos i'm not sure anyone care to much for his playground excuses.

if he does beat hatton he will get to fight oscar at 147, watch.

if pacquaio loses his fight with marquez than the fight with ricky will be off. and if that happens, the only fighter out there for hatton that makes the most dollars and sense would be paulie.

if paulie wins that fight, oscar would do anything to get a fight with him, trust me...
