Why should Cotto fight Williams? How has Williams proven himself or earned the right for this fight? This would be a step back for Cotto, and Margarito has always been overrated in my book.

Williams needs to take the long, hard road to the top like Cotto did, and EARN his chance.

Cotto-Williams makes perfect sense. If it becomes evident that Oscar De La Hoya will not fight Cotto next, the Bobfather, Dynamite Dan Goossen and Al Haymon will need to figure out a way to work together

Don't speak for "the fans." Williams is an illusion. I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto break him, but it's not the fight I want to see. Cotto has earned either DLH or Mayweather.

Cotto has beaten, in the last few years: Mailignaggi, Torres, Quintana, Judah, Mosley. No one has had a list like that at 140-7.
