Chad Dawson's first voluntary defense last June was the easiest he could find, Jesus Ruiz.

I hope he doesn't continue to pad his record with opponents like that this year.

Ruiz looked like a guy who was making his pro debut, he was truly awful. Dawson did what was expected of him in that fight.

But i can't see him coping with Kesslers power. Or Butes power. Or Calzaghes work rate. Or Mundines handspeed, footwork and all round skill.

Sure beating Adamek was good. But you have to ask yourself. How good is Adamek compared to someone like Kessler? I think Kessler is the more complete fighter.

A lot of people underestimate the SMW fighters top 4 , Calz, Kess, Bute, Mund, Because they don't see them on television, or not fighting in the states.
So you think Mundine is faster than Dawson? I dont think so. Ademek is unerrated on these boards because of how easily Dawson dismantled him. In reality, he is very good and exciting fighter to watch with good boxing skill. It was just the boxing brilliance of 'Bad' Chad Dawson. Dawson would absolutley crush Mundine, Kessler, Bute, and even Calaghe IMO. Dawson would out class Mundine and probably stop him, sorry but mundine is just not on Dawsons level. Dawson would out box Bute by wide UD, Dawson is the waaay better pure boxer. and Kessler has already shown that he cant compete with elite southpaw boxers. Calzaghe is the one that im not sure about but i still think Dawson out works and out boxes him with his better pure boxing ability and better power.

I like Chad Dawson a lot and think he has talent and a really nice jab and fairly good defense. I wonder about his chin because he's been on the canvas against Harding and Adamek who are the only two good fighters he faced and not huge punchers.
I know he can win rounds rounds against just about anyone in 75 but if he keeps getting caught, I wonder what will happen.

Glen johnson should be a good test for him.
