Parody cmon. Tarver is a 4 time world champ and has fought way better fighters than Chad. I got ALL my points on Tarver if the fight ever happens.
Im a Tarver fan. I wanted to believe him so bad when he was talking about how we havent seen the best from Tarver yet in his last fight but................its time to let go mayne. Tarver's last 2 performances have lead me to believe that he is shot, if not getting there. The Tarver that you described is not the same guy now.

This is how his next 4 fights should be like:

      Glen Johnson
Zsolt Erdei (Unify with the WBO Champ)
      Adrian Diaconu
Clinton Woods (Unify with the IBF Champ)

the light heavyweight division is weak. If Dawson wants to test himself he should go to SMW. Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine and Bute would all make a mess of him.

Sadly, you are correct. But all the stuff Tarver had to overcome in his life, I think he has the heart for one last great fight.

I wonder about Dawson's chin though. Adamek, who is not a big puncher, nailed him in the 10th and Dawson was basically covering up the rest of the fight. See you tube clip.

Dawson has to focus for the full 12 or he's going to be a short lived champ.

Dawson was never seriously hurt in neither of those fights. Just look at his facial expressions in both fights, he didn't even care. He kept his composure and dominated. He actually got up and won the 11th and the 12th round. For some reason people count the Eric Harding knock down like it was a real one, he was off balance and it was from a weak jab. Dawson has a good chin. But on topic, Dawson out classes Erdei, Erdie is too slow and robotic and Dawson is too elusive. I see dawson boxing circles around him. Erdei is actually coming off of a split decision win over a no name fighter who he was suppose to blow out.

Dawson beats all of them IMO. I know he would beat Mundine, Kessler, and Bute. I even think he would beat Calzaghe but im not sure if hes ready yet. Chad Dawson is just a force to be reckoned with, plain and simple.

I think Dawson is the future of LHW. The division has been as weak as piss for too long and it's about time someone cleaned it out. Woods, Erdei, Johnson, Tarver are all a mixture of average and past it...and then there's Danny Green....

Naturally, if you've been knocked down in 3 of your 6 fights against top opposition then there are naturally going to be questions about your chin

Not impressed by Erdei at all. Zsolt doesn't keep it a secret that he wants to pad up his record with non-threats and end his career undefeated, he said that out loud in his last interview.

I think Dawson is the next best thing at Light-Heavyweight, his skills show it. But he's somewhat unproven and hasn't fought a top contender since his win over Adamek, so I can understand people who doubt him. I mean we still don't know how fare he would do against a puncher since people question his chin.
Erdei is a good boxer, with an excellent defence & very good jab.

Downside is that he isn't that big for a LHW, tends to fight at a very steady pace & doesn't adjust that well to sudden changes, isn't that fast & is not a power puncher.

Would favour Dawson on this one
                    - big advantages in height, reach, size & handspeed.

But Erdei is a good enough boxer to find any holes in Dawson's game & exploit them.

2-1 odds for Dawson in a potentially very interesting match.
Actually Dawson is fast, he's one of the fastest boxers today P4P. And how can you say he's not a big LHW since he's bigger then Erdei? Erdei won't find any holes in Dawson's game because there is none. But there is plenty of holes in Erdei's game for Dawson to exploit. I would put the odds 3-1 in Dawson's favor. And Dawson is a way better boxer then Erdei.

I think he could be a force if he continues to develop.

But i can't see him coping with Kesslers power. Or Butes power. Or Calzaghes work rate. Or Mundines handspeed, footwork and all round skill.

Sure beating Adamek was good. But you have to ask yourself. How good is Adamek compared to someone like Kessler? I think Kessler is the more complete fighter.

A lot of people underestimate the SMW fighters top 4 , Calz, Kess, Bute, Mund, Because they don't see them on television, or not fighting in the states.
