Exactly boxing isn't packaged right and is now a rich mans sport (spectator that is). Look at the Contender fighters and they just prove everything you just said. The contender fighters fought on general TV and built up followings. This popularity from people getting to see and know them have made them more $$$$ and more marketable for "Mainstream" boxing. This ontop of the fact that many real upcomers and contenders are 5x as good and exciting as them.It has popularity because of the opposite of that. They give free fights on SpikeTV I think every week or so. So the general public can watch it and people get into it. While boxing, they almost NEVER have free fights other than once in a while at those spanish channels. How is boxing supposed to be very popular? The public has really no way to get into boxing other than the big fights like PBF-DLH in which they just see it to say "I saw it"
Peter Manfredo, Gomez and others would'nt have gotten shots against guys like Gatti or Calz if they weren't on the show. Now imagine if boxings GENUINE rising stars were given the same exposure, the whole phrase mega fight would need a new definition because they're would be high interest fights every other week with ten's of millions of viewers.
24/7 is great for boxing because it does this to some extent.Comment

yeah that will happen because boxing is about timing, waiting for openings, and capatalizing in a split second. . there is a difference in throwing punches and BOXING. If I can see hands IN FRONT OF MY FACE coming at me full speed, I can catch someone trying to shoot in because (it's not rocket science) you have more time to react. Your body is already trained to move at a split second with hands coming at you. So if you have a FULL second to react it aint ****. Last time my bro fought an MMA fighter at the gym the MMA fighter didnt know what to do because he had to shoot from a further distance and couldnt get to his feet in time and kept gettig caught. He would shot in, My bro put an angle/pivot and the dude was on his knees gettin hit with 2 or 3 shots.Comment

Same thing could happen to your ''bro''. Taking 1 example is not credible, especially when your ''bro'' is an average Joe.yeah that will happen because boxing is about timing, waiting for openings, and capatalizing in a split second. . there is a difference in throwing punches and BOXING. Ive done the same thing to. thats because my cousin fought for the USA in a MMA type of thing and why he is in negotiations with UFC. Any boxer that has up to par skills can take out a very skilled MMA fighter. If you know about angles and pivots and GOOD footwork that is all you need. Box standing up and when they shoot to go to the ground pivot and put an angle on him and he will ALWAYS miss.Comment

if you dont believe me about my cuz here .

the only reason he lost his last fight was because he broke his foot and couldnt fight.
and the only reason he had his 1st dq was because he kicked the guy while he was on the ground. The guy acted hurt and won by dq because he "couldnt" continue, what an ass.Comment
