Yep...Hatton...who wasn't scared of PBF...is scared of Witter.
**** off, don't talk crap.
Hatton isn't scared of the man whatsoever.
If he could be accused of being scared of anything, one tiny thing, it'd be of him not making the right career moves, or financial moves. You've seen the way he likes to eat and drink, and the hard way in which he fights - his career isn't gonna safely last much longer. Hatton is scared that if he fights Jr Witter he will lose money, because he could take a much better fight, with a bigger name in America.
Plus Jr Witter is a prick.
Talks about Hatton-Mayweather started 2 years back, Witter has been calling Hatton out since 8 Years.
When Witter pulled this silly stunt Hatton had just won the British title and Witter had fought exactly two 12 rounders, including the loss to Judah. Hatton had won the WBO intercontinental title (and had 7 defenses) and won the WBA inter continental. Then he won the British title. Witter had won something called the WBF light welterweight title which he never defended. He was still fighting in four-rounders after his challenge to Ricky.
Recently Witter won the WBC title, so well done. Even more recently he got his biggest win against a deeply flawed (but at least named) Vivian Harris. But by this stage Hatton was fighting to build a profile in the United States and then building up for a fight with the number one in the world. Witter was once again a league below Hatton.
Following Hatton's knockout loss to Mayweather we reach the only time in Witter's career that he could reasonably demand a fight with Hatton. Up until this point he would be lucky to get a fight with Hatton (and of course his mouth and relative status kept him far away from a Hatton fight). Now it might just happen. But I think we should give it a bit of a rest before we scream for blood. There aren't many guys who suffer their first loss in a long career and their next fight is a 12 round title fight as this would be.
Truth is Hatton hasn't announced when he'll fight again or who it will be against, so considering it has only just become an in-demand fight following Hatton's loss to Mayweather and that was less than a month ago I don't think it's reasonable to suggest that Hatton is "ducking" Witter.
Its easy to try to awash Hatton "Ducking" Witter with his so-called high profile fights in America but apart from the Mayweather fight which he duely prove he isnt on the same level as Mayweather he hasnt fought anybody relatively close to what Witter brings to the table.
Why i wouldnt actually say hatton ducked Witter in the last year or so because of him actually fighting mayweather nothing would change my mind on how he ducked Witter while he was defending the less regard WBU...He fought Bums after bums while Witter Won the british, Commonwealth and European titles (The proper way)..Witter called him out in those time while Hatton was fighting nobodies( Not even rank fighter)....PLEASE tell me WHO did Hatton beat to get to the IBF ranking in other to challenge Tsyzu?
You could make a case for Hatton taking a tuneup in say, March, whilst witter and Malignaggi duke it out for the no.1 contender spot and a shot at Hatton in around July.
If boxing was controlled better, that was what would naturally happen.
Also, I'ma bit annoyed that Hatton is still undisputed LWW champion when he has fought one top contender (which itself was debatable) since beating Tszyu.
Lame excuses Hatton is scared period, Hatton fought bums on his WBU in the M.E.N arena..he fought utango..and the joke Maussa, So he would lose money if he fight Witter? The excuse are getting more pathetic.
And Witter is a prick now for calling out Hatton? LOL
No... Witter is a prick in general. Go to a show and see him, see him ignore the fans, refuse to shake hands with the public, sign stuff...or just generally acknowledge the fans. Witter is prick because listen to him commontate on a fight on Radio Sheffield "Yeah...Clinton is doing really well in this fight, he hit really hard there - just like how i hit, because i'm the best fighter in my division on the planet, have i said that yet already?" "Yes, Junior...you've said it 13 times already and its the first round."
As for Hatton ducking people, don't be ridiculous. Of cause Hatton has fought a few cans.
