Will Mayweather-Cotto Ever Happen?

i agree with you cotto would kill mayweather. cotto is way to big. i would say mayweather should fight pacman but i think pacman will lose the fight with JMM, and spoil the opportunity.

if not, mayweather/pac is the fight and mayweather would destroy him

and cotto would kill odh, that fight will never happen either becuse cotto isn't a lighweight.

I think the fight can happen, that's if he gets someone like DLH. If he were to fight DLH he has to win otherwise I don't see the fight happening in near future.

The way I see this scenario playing out:

Oscar and Cotto fight MAy 3rd in LA. The winner of that faces Mayweather towards the end of the year to unify the WBA and WBC belts. If Floyd wins, he'll move down like he said, possibly have a big fight at 140, or to 135 to have a fight against Pacquiao or perhaps Juan Diaz.

Cotto will fight Floyd but Floyd will NOT fight Cotto. As we learned by the artful dodging of Mayweather of Margarito, once he sets his mind on ducking an opponent, he will never reconsider.

Actually.. I think if Cotto were to lose beforehand.. It would Greatly increase the chance of this fight happening...

agreed Thats what Mayweather wants to happen. he's praying that someone else will open the safe for him.
