LOL. Calzaghe fought at 168, the weakest division in the last 15 years. He beat Lacy, who is technically horrible, and a B fighter, just possessing power. And he beat Kessler, who is another overhyped European with power and horrible technical skills. He may be a top 5 168 lbs. but technically he's going to get destroyed tomorrow and it'll be another European fighter with hype getting humbled.

gotta give my first official cong**** to calzaghe on a great win. calzaghe really dominated on the punching and it was a legitamate decision that should've been a UD IMO. He did better than I thought he would and he made hopkins look worse than he probably ever did in his career. I do think he belongs in the top 5 p4p for yesterdays victory even though it was over a 43 year old hops just cuz of the dominating fashion in which he won but I still don't like his fighting style. calz was holding just as much as hops was yesterday.
the question that will never be answered is if calz could've done this 5 years ago. alot of ppl on this forum see it clear that hops would've taken the win a couple of years ago and I was saying the same thing a couple of days ago but after yesterday I am split 50/50 cuz I don't know who would've won this. hops was a completely different fighter back than but calzaghe did dominate hops. Its just one of those hypothetical matchups that you wish could happen but know will never happen.Last edited by -Swizzy-; 04-20-2008, 08:05 AM.
