even by not looking at records i can see that kessler is a world class boxer.

sometimes a fan of boxing doesn't need to see a fighter vs another to see that he is awesome. calzasghe hasn't always performed, but the fights he has then you will see he is exceptional. you have to see quite a few of his fights to think wow he is really good. that being said, i have always wanted him to fight the best. i have stated that he may not be unbeaten, but a jones, hopkins, then a move to tarver or taylor would have been good to watch.

i can dig that. i just want to see kessler when he comes back before everybody make him out to be greater than what he is.

Still haven't seen anyone tell us where Kessler's last five fights were??? Must be too much effort to look them up since you don't already know yet swear he is a great boxer.

de la hoya looked amazing against mayorga and looked terrible in the very next fight against mayweather. great fighters will look average in the ring against greater fighters. b-hop will make calzaghe look average in their fight.

Kessler is the best he's fought and Kessler is barely an above average boxer. I'm not saying that Calzaghe is bad, but one of the best p4p? I don't think he belongs in the top 10 even. If he gets into the ring with Hopkins, Pavlik, Taylor, or Wright and beats either one of them, than he belongs, otherwise, he is way too overrated.
you have already made several thread about this in the past and not many agreed with you, Hopkins hasn't beaten an elite that didn't step up in weight. People just know that his skill level is great like calzaghes so they put him up there.

We know Bernard will be very economical, as usual. So, he'll need to be landing most of his shots, if he wants to be the more "effective agressor". I don't think that Hops will suddenly look old, I just think he'll not assert himself effectively when he's facing a Zaghetype pressure fighter with decent hand speed and underrated power. Hops will simply need to be busier than usal to win and will need to throw more than one shot at a time, which he hasn't given us for quite some time.

I think its time to bring this wonderful thread to the fore front again. this is the week that this thread, made by me, either looks brilliant or foolish.

I believe that I'll be proven right but, hopkins is 43 after all, so thats my excuse for him. rewind 5 years, hopkins wins this with out a doubt. but no matter who wins this saturday, one thing is for sure, calzaghe is gonna get his toughest fight to date and its gonna be from a 43 year old. win or lose, calzaghe will be proven overrated.
