I think Larry Merchant seems drunk sometimes. He says random things, gets moody, and is often rude to boxers. Some of his opinions are off base- but he has boxing knowledge. Am I Merchant fan? I wouldn't say fan- I respect him and would hate to see him off HBO until someone better, and equally knowledgable, was around.
My problem is that Joe Rogan is an HgH popping dumb piece of ****. Comparing Merchant to him- apples to apples as you say- is offensive. He's not on the same level. Spinks and Mayweather aren't in the same boat just because they box.
Larry Merchant has been around forever- and if you've seen him when he was younger most of his problems appeared more recently. He's a fixture. You want youth and 'fear factor excitement'. I don't see it.Comment

To compare, I remember when Valuev was undefeated and commentators were talking about him fighting a few more years and going out as an undefeated heavyweight champion like Rocky Marciano.

FYI, they don't make my kind in Fruit Loop man, I lived for many years in downtown TDot where the fruit loops have their own village, so I'm not ****phobic, I just can't stand them. Just like JBubb here, they are leaches, and they even invented their own accent, I mean Jamaicans or Brits, or fellow Micks, we have accents sometimes but where did the lisp come from???
