Chuck Liddel is the UFCs biggest star and hes making nothing if this is true, I just thought these guys would be making a lot more considering how big the UFC is, someones banking off of these guys.
Again you're comparing the pay scales of two different sports...one thats been around for ages and the other that really only had around 10 years under its belt. They are setup differently and its going to take some time for fighters to break out of the promotion dominated fight cards. Its ****** to compare them at this point.

Also top MMA fighters due get PPV % so the back-end is more than the actual fight purse.

true but for Pavliks first title fight not on PPV he made $600,000 profit that minus the cost for paying his camp. Thats a hell of a lot of money for someone that young. The world champs at the lower weights would proberbly be the least profitable unless you have people like Pacquiao or Donaire which draw massive fanbases from their home countries. The heavy's right now according to PPV numbers proberbly earn very little.

Dana White controls these guys and takes all the money. It seems certain guys are getting the clue and fighting elsewhere. For how popular UFC has become you would think they would make good money to do what they do, but even the good guys are not getting paid as well as you might think.

Dana says he wants to pay fighters even more but at the moment they are just building and that is not a viable option. Time will tell if the pay scale rises.

They should be paid more I agree with that. The control White has is a good thing though. I like the fact that he can make any fight at any time, unlike in boxing where you have all the typical bull**** that centers around money.

Even Bobby Pacquiao made $150,000 in boxing.

Your right it's probably best for the fans because certain matchups get made without all the negotiation to see who gets paid more and how much. It's only a matter of time before though that fighters really make a fuss and demand more.

I think its because there is no competition between promoters, because theres only one promoter. Dana White controls everything.

when will the ppv buys be released?

i read ufc is no where near beating HBO PPV in ppv buys this year.
