He should stick to his sport, or retire. And he should fight Cotto before retiring. Williams too if his body allows it, and then retire for sure.
I think he will fight the Margarito-Cintron winner t...then Cotto or Oscar.

    He will never fight Paul.

Paul Williams has to do much more to earn a fight with Floyd. His best win is over Margarito, which is a very good win, but not enough IMO.

Somone had the idea of having Williams and Cotto fight for a shot at Mayweather, and thats not a bad idea so long as Mayweather agrees to fight the winner.

I merely stated MY opinion on why I was more impressed with Cotto's win over Shane than floyd's over Oscar and I said this..

Obviously, I'm letting it be known that I knew it wouldnt be a competitive fight because Floyd is in his prime and Oscar wasnt. So what is so impressive about Floyd taking a belt from an over the hill, slower Oscar De La Hoya vs. Cotto fighting a still very quick and dangerous opponent in Shane Mosley who styles made for a better fight. Any person this board will tell you the same.

        I response with:

        Why fight for Belts then...?
Why does everybody want Floyd to unify the titles then if titles don’t meaned ****..?
Why is strict importance giving to defending your title..? (man..)
Give me an example then. Tell me you're experience with a CASUAL fan where the fan is up to date with the belt situation and has either purchased a PPV event or ticket to a show for the sole reason of watching fighter work for a belt? You KNOW the causal fan goes to watch a fight and really doesnt care about what belts are involved. Prove me wrong here Quntel. Remember, we're talking about the CASUAL fan.

In that case what would Floyd have to do to impress you...?
Because in any fight Floyd is in (at a reasonaBle weight) Floyd is going to be the favorite..
So using your logic Floyd can’t impress you no matter what he does because you know what to expect Floyd to do, and that is win....!!
It is good to know the truth finally comes out of you..!!!
Now, let us examine that quote right there. Because I said that I wasnt impressed with Mayweather's win with De La Hoya, you are implying that nothing that Floyd does can impress me? Right. So then basically, you are neglecting the fact that we are only talking about the DLH fight in regards to that aspect. No? Forgot the fact that I was impressed with his domination of Corrales and his vindication with Castillo, but you didnt know that did you because you already assume that im question Floyd's whole career no? Thats not groupie-ish behavior?

Hahah really? Where have I been wrong? Please show me? If I'm wrong, I will be more than happy to admit it.

But you see, it is quite simple. You are the type of person who may be a fan at some level, seeks intimacy (most often physical, sometimes emotional) with a famous person. In this case, it is Floyd Mayweather Jr. This obsession that you have causes 97% of your posts to be related to him. I call you a nuthugger and a groupie because that is what you are. You go to INCREDIBLE lengths just to debate and argue for just ONE particular person that doesnt even know you exists. Tell me Quntel, who ELSE have you posted about? Who ELSE have you talked about? Just PBF! Why? Why does it AGGRAVATE you so much when there is criticism? Face it, the only one that is a "typical nerd blogger" would be you. YOU know EVERYTHING there is to know about Floyd Mayweather. Bloodtype, family tree, likes, dislikes, shoesize etc etc and only someone with no ****ing life and can spend his entire waking existence on the internet talking about the SAME **** over and over again can do that. Let me help you out with that..

After that post, he refuses to address this post and spits his normal "OWNED LOLOL" ****.

Then he tries to insult my intellegence because I felt Cotto's win over Mosley was more impressive..

I'm really tired now, and I feel the need to be picky and cranky.

Who are you to decide what Floyd should and should not do with his life?
If he decides to have a go at MMA, you should not critize him for it just because you would rather see him in yet another boxing match.

If he chooses to continue boxing, I agree about fighting Cotto though.

It does make sense, and every boxing fan is gonna want for it to happen, but both guys seem to be headed in completely opposite directions.

                In theory, good idea though.

Cotto is going after either DLH in May, or an eventual fight with Margarito around June.

And Williams will probably get Cintron in the ring with him eventually, and hopefully while Williams is getting in the ring with Cintron on fight night, Cotto can be securing a fight with Mayweather, and the winners of both fights fight. But that again, is really unlikely to work out so perfectly.

yea im getting kinda tired of this Hippy nonsense, where we cant say anything bad about a fighter that wants to retire, and we just have to sit there and take it and say stuff like "good for him" and "he earned it."

We are what keeps the sport alive, we should be able to say whatever we wanna say and have someone of importance hear it.
