I mean... he did lose like every round and got knocked down against a guy no one had really heard of before that fight.

I'd be inclined to say Sergio Mora right now... Vernon Forrest looked TERRIBLE against him, and he still only won by 115-113... that's pretty bad.

I have never seen him, but I haven't heard much praise for Verno Phillips either, and a lot of people said that his win over Spinks was unjust.

Kendall Holt, Paulie Malignaggi or Verno Phillips

Just because Phillips isn't a big star doesn't make him a bad fighter.

How is a win unjust but deserved at the same time?

              Which one is it?

I didn't say he was a bad fighter because he wasn't a big star.

I just know he has a bunch of losses (a lot were early in his career).
Literally no one on this board picked him to beat Spinks.
A lot of people said that Spinks outboxed him fairly handily, but didn't get the decision.

Those are the ingredients of an underachiever unjustly having a belt, which would make him a decent candidate for worst fighter with a belt IMO.

ok, it was unjust but he isn't the worst title holder cuz he fought a good fight against spinks.
