IMO, he should beat the guy who blew him out in five before fighting Williams. If he beats Margarito, then a unification with Williams becomes interesting.

Sounds like Cintron wants nothing to do with Clottey. At least another loss to Margarito is acceptable since Margarito rightfully claimed his position as Kermit's Daddy in thier last fight.

Dude, i told you, it was a posted transcript for a conversation that Ernest Gabion, the discussion board master at boxing, max and boxing reporter, had with dan goosen. go over onto their message boards if you want it. it's there. im not going to post a link to another board on this board. that would be f'ed up. and im not saying williams is ducking cintron, im just saying that it isnt cintron's fault that him and williams arent fighting, it's just they way the cookie crumbled.

I give him an enormous amount of credit for wanting to avenge his sole loss and wanting that bout so vehemently. That being said, STILL no mention of Paul Williams.

Arum who also promotes Joshua Clottey wants Cintron to face him and meet his mandatory before talking about any other future matches. The only reason Cintron might not want to face Clottey or Williams is that after his dismal performance against Feliciano he now wants to make a big payday in case he loses badly before it comes. Margarito will be Cintron's biggest payday that he can realistically make right now.

he already did, and Pwil said NO. kerm asked pwil to push their playdate back by a month (which is even before kerms doctor recomended, but kerm just wanted to make the fight), and pwils team said "No, we fight in february, with or without you."



here's whats happening:

1. Pwil and cintron never had a deal in place, and kerm, by contract law, could not have signed for a fight with williams prior to the feliciano fight. kerms trainers and managers could have signed a bout agreement, but that isnt legally binding and really means ****all when it comes down to it, since it does not involve the fighter, just his team.

2. when the injury happened and the doctor gave his diagnosis, cintrons team asked williams to postpone the fight a month - despite doctors recomendation, but williams team said no, we are figthing in feb. with or without you (so as you can see, cintron still wanted that fight),

3. Cintron tried setting the fight with margarito up back in september after vargas got sick and his fight with feliciano got postponed, so he is just going back to a plan that was in place before even setting anything up with williams.

4. i would assume that, as long as he beats margarito, the fight he wants with cotto would happen in june for the PR day parade, a MEGA FIGHT,

5. Cintron called otu all the belt holders, so he isnt ignoring williams,

6. everyone wants a shot at mayweather, and right now that road goes through cotto,

7. Paul williams called out cotto a couple of weeks ago, before cintron did... does that mean he is ducking cintron!?!?!?!?!?!,

and 8. Cintron doesnt want to fight Margo ASAP, he wants to fight him when his hand is healed, in mid to late spring.

so if williams already rejected cintron, why waste his time going back to him?? avenge your only loss, and then move on to bigger things.

You would think he's ducking Williams, Cintron has been wanting to fight Margarito for a good while now. I don't see Williams calling out Margaritos name for a rematch.

Funny you give Williams a lot of credit for beating a bum in Margarito, before there fight all you would call him is a bum and now Williams best win is against Margarito lol, how ironic.

the sharmba mitchell win was bigger than the margarito win.
