I think Cotto wins this one. I just don't see Spinks doing enough to win enough rounds.
I think many people are underestimating Cotto's speed and his jab has looked a ton better than it ever had against Mosely. That was a close fight for sure but I think Cotto can keep pressuring because Spinks doesn't have enough to offer back to him.

    Cotto UD.

Spinks has no power to discourage Cotto, and Cotto walks right through him. Compare their fights with Zab if you don't believe me.

i doubt Cotto's jab would be effective against Spinks. you have to put pressure on spinks and rough him up instead of fighting a tactical fight. Cotto is devoloping good boxing skill, but Spinks is too much of a slickster for Cotto unless Cotto puts pressure on him all night. the only problem with Spinks is that he fades late in fights, thats the only thing that would make it a closer fight than i would expect. Demarcus Corley is also a southpaw and he countered Cotto at will.

Comparing fights with different fighters is totally wrong, Styles make fights. Spinks gave Jermain Taylor trouble, I think Spinks wins a decision against Cotto.

If you want to compare then why not mention Cotto having problems with N'dou and Malignaggi, because I think Spinks is a better boxer than them.

If Taylor couldn't KO Spinks at 160, I seriously doubt Cotto would/could.

That point was highlighted to show that fighters have walked through Spinks' arsenal with success before. Judah walked through Spinks, Taylor should have walked through Spinks, Mayorga largely did this, and Cotto would more than likely do this as well. His fights with Quintana and Paulie should be evidence of this.

                  Spinks gave Jermain Taylor trouble
I'm guessing you watched that fight. I shouldn't really have to point out that Taylor fought just about the WORST possible fight ever. Steward's corner rage was testament to this.

This goes for you too. Taylor gave an awful performance. He had success when he'd throw the right hand over Spinks' punches, but he just stopped doing it. Cotto is no fool.

N'dou and Malignaggi, because I think Spinks is a better boxer than them.
N'Dou is a hardened mother****er. He gave it a spirited effort but Cotto beat him rather convincingly. Paulie has a ton of heart and hasn't shown that he fades down the stretch of his fights (like Spinks tends to). Cotto's controlled aggression and excellent body punching would lead to Spinks being battered and possibly stopped late in the fight.

Or Spinks made them look silly? he was 1-1 against Judah, hard hitting middleweights like karmazin and taylor could'nt put him down. First of all Quintana and Spinks comparison is wrong...they fight nothing like each other. Spinks might be boring or whatever, hell I dont even like him as a fighter I absolutely ****ing hate him, but he would run around the ring for 12 rounds and beat Cotto. I am pretty sure cotto would'nt hurt him, specially if spinks does the marathon thing...

Cotto had to work but beat both of those two handily. All Spinks did against Taylor was make him look bad. He brought nothing and I think the supposed controversy in that decision was from frustrated fans hating on JT. Even Spinks' best wins over Zab and Mayorga were close. I just think Cotto simply tears him apart.
