Hmm... Hatton is too small. He would not take very well the fact that Oscar would be in the ring above 160 pounds.

Cotto would be a natural pick, in view of Oscar gassing out late and Cotto bodywork would also help it. However Oscar is surely a better outside fighter and has a better reach. Most importantly Oscar has been knocking out junior middleweights for a while now and although Cotto's chin looks a lot better now than it looked in the final part of his 140 career, he still has to face someone with Oscar blend of power and speed.

this is the reason that the real boxing fans will always support oscar and never support a coward like mayweather. oscar is not afraid to fight the best and he is not afraid to go toe to toe. same with cotto. if mayweather was a real fighter and a true warrior he would not think twice about fighting cotto.

oscar knows cotto is the biggest fight available right now. mayweather tries to fool the fans into thinking cotto is not a draw so he dont look like hes ducking him when he actually is. hes doing the same thing he did to margarito.

Oscar fights alot like Jose Luis Catillo and is weak to the body too. As you may know, Hatton KO'd Castillo with a body shot and should know that Oscar is nowhere near the boxer that Mayweather is either. Hatton gave him hell for what he was up against. (a ref that wouldnt let him work, fighting in Vegas and a 6" reach dissadvantage.)So if you are going to say something like that, at least have something to back it up. Lets not forget that Cotto was almost KO'd by Demarcus Corley who is basically a lightweight. Oscar has alot more power than that and eventually would land on Cotto flush.
Well, DLH is much bigger than JLC and has much more power than him. Speaking of which, if you are going to use the logic that "Corley hurt Cotto so DLH would stop him," why didn't that work for PBF, whom Corley also hurt and DLH didn't? Weight. Cotto's chin at 147 now is pretty solid, it was tested by Judah where he was stunned but never down and Mosley never hurt him.

DLH can box, mind you. His jab is his best weapon outside the left hook, and Hatton would be eating the jab all night.
Cotto is stronger and a little bigger than Hatton, and he presents a body attack more brutal than the Hitman's, in my opinion.

If it is Cotto, I give both fighters credit as it will be a dangerous fight for both of them.

This is a good set-up for a PBF-Cotto super fight assuming Cotto defeats DLH.

Oscar did 975K with Mayorga. And a million with Hopkins.

When you can do Oscar nums, the opponent isn't all that important. Unless it is a Trinidad or Mayweather "star name".

Oscar can do 700-900K with most anybody.

But the question is: if Floyd was being criticized for fighting an aging businessman, how is this a good boxing decision for Cotto? Oscar is a year older, and a year less active.
