Cotto would be a natural pick, in view of Oscar gassing out late and Cotto bodywork would also help it. However Oscar is surely a better outside fighter and has a better reach. Most importantly Oscar has been knocking out junior middleweights for a while now and although Cotto's chin looks a lot better now than it looked in the final part of his 140 career, he still has to face someone with Oscar blend of power and speed.
    How about Mosley?

I dont recall significant knockouts for Shane at 154. I think Oscar has more power and he (strangely, or not so strangely given a 2 years age difference, and never undergoing a Forrest 1 type of punshment) looked sharper in his last outing

If we talk Mosley at 135, we are talkin a KO monster, much less so at 147.

Floyd just won fighter of the year mostly due to beating that Oscar.

When you can do Oscar nums, the opponent isn't all that important. Unless it is a Trinidad or Mayweather "star name".

Oscar can do 700-900K with most anybody.

But the question is: if Floyd was being criticized for fighting an aging businessman, how is this a good boxing decision for Cotto? Oscar is a year older, and a year less active.
Some people criticized him, but don't make it sound like it was universal. Oscar proved just this year that he's still elite

de la hoya can beat cotto and hatton, but the logical pick would be cotto, the undefeated fighter

I think Cotto will murder De La Hoya if they fight.

I can see De La Hoya beating both Cotto and Hatton. It's really not out of his reach at all.

No, he didn't. Floyd won fighter of the year MOSTLY on the Hatton performance.

If Floyd had beaten Hatton 116-112, do you think he would be FOTY?

DLH doesnt throw as much punches anymore to beat Cotto,he waits too long, fighting a guy like Cotto punching your body nonstop is gna be hard, especially as DLH gasses out near the 9th round,i dont think he can do it against Cotto unless he lands something big,Mosley did,it didnt hurt Cotto,i can see Cotto stopping DLH with a bodyshot, but i think DLH can beat Hatton

DLH is much higher reward and pretty much same risk as fighting a Margarito imo, so it's whatever.
