Even when he was undefeated and winning alot of fights, he was always pretty much under the radar. He wasnt that high in the P4P debates and his fights werent the big deal like the other stars. He's always been so mad at Arum for not getting him on PPV. He never had one PPV fight under Arum until his Gatti fight came which was coincedently the last fight in his contract. Its too late. He always felt that he shouldve had PPV fights and been promoted much more greatly. His name wasnt half as big as Oscar, Tito, Shane, RJ, and so on. He felt he was on that level.

Not only did Arum not get him the noteritey but when Floyd talked about it, Arum would always get smart. He would basically say that it was Floyd's fault and that he's not a PPV fighter. Then Floyd has always said that he had a slave contract. His money was pretty much the same in every fight. He signed with Arum when he was young in his career and signed a long term contract. No matter how many big fights he got, he always made the same and he didnt like that. He thought when he was fighting guys like Chico & Castillo then he should be making more money. He thought the Chico fight and definatly Castillo 2 shouldve been on PPV. He felt that Arum was taking too big of a cut and that he tries to get rich off his fighters. Making them fight eachother while he keeps all the change. He doesnt really care about them individually. He tried to treat Floyd like he was Margarito & Castillo but Floyd wansnt a dummy.

Arum tried to pimp Floyd because he knew he had him under that long contract and then at the end of it he tries to step up. Thats what alot of cruddy promoters do, just like Frank Warren. They ***** you the whole contract and then try to get you the big stuff at the end so you will resign but fighters arent falling for it anymore. Floyd hates him and if it was up to him then he would never sign a fight with him again. He doesnt want Arum to make any money off of his name just like Oscar didnt. People on here try to make it sound like Floyd payed him off to get away from Margarito. Thats a joke. Floyd saw a way to get out of his contract and knew he could get the big fight with Oscar without Arum and he went for it. You see how much bigger Floyd is now since he left Arum? He always felt Arum held him back and kept him on the low. He felt that if he was with Arum then he wouldve never became a big name star and he's right
I don't the whole story, but this makes a lot of sense.

Floyd would've been a household name much sooner like Oscar and Tito, and the rest.

It looks like Arum was too busy putting De La Hoya in the spotlight to pay much attention to Floyd.

Floyd made the right move, chalked it up to experience, and now he's reaping the rewards.

We are talking about Money Mayweather. ****ing with his cheese is like ****ing with his booty.

At the NABJ conference, they had a roundtable for all the journalists. Floyd ripped into Arum so hard that Don King had to come to Bob's defence.

The least he could've said was: "Thank you Bob for the opportunity.
        But, I learned my lesson."

He says: "God don't make mistakes".

So, perhaps, everything happened how it happened for good reason.

Now he's the hot commodity in the spotlight in the biggest fights in history.

        Perfect timing.

Floyd was very naive in advocating that boxers should promote themselves and eliminate the promoters.

Yeah, FMJ can do that. He is a business-minded kid with a deep bank account.

But is Floyd suggesting that Antonio Margarito promote himself? Can you envision Tony on the phone trying to reserve a Staples Center date for a $300K deposit?

Hey, Zab. How's Super Promotions coming along?

          But here is Floyd's beef:

PBF-Baldo sold 330K PPV's. Floyd made $10 million and Baldo made $2 million.

Pac-Morales sold 340K PPV's. Pac made $4 Million and Erik made about $3 million.

WHERE DID THE REST OF THE MONEY GO?? For the same revenues, Floyd's fight got twelve mil in purses, and Pac's fight fot about seven or eight mil in purses.

Similarly, Floyd and gatti each made about 4 mil for their fight. That fight sold 370K PPV's. WHERE'S THE REST OF THE MONEY??

            Yep. No argument there.

That's where most fighters are in the dark, especially if they're not surrounded by a trustworthy group of people.
