That is just it. Taylor ISN'T thinking. He just wants to beat Kelly Pavlik. I seriously think that is the only thing on his mind right now. Time will tell if that will come true though, time will tell.

yes and no! they will most certainly blow up after weigh in, but not having to lose that 6lbs extra will help a bit!

taylor has never suffered defeat until his last fight and he was tko'd, and basically now he has that on the back of his mind. also knowing that he threw everything he had at pavlik and pavlik kept coming, that has got to play some serious mind games on you, especially after the fact that pavlik came back stronger after being knocked down and he got the tko by a huge right hand followed up with an excellent finish with a series of punches.

can taylor rise up after suffering a loss like that? can his ego handle it? is taylor going to be mentally prepared? or is he going to be timid? and doubtful of himself? seriously i think it's an issue of heart, and i think that although taylor has heart, i don't think he has enough to win against a guy that is not only bigger than he is, with a bigger punch, more power, and more stamina with a better chin, but he has the tko loss on the back of his mind and doesn't want to experience that again, and i think that will effect his performance. kind of like roy jones against tarver in their 3rd fight, jones was so afraid to get stopped and he fought like it, i think that is what taylor is going to look like in this fight, afraid to get stopped again, before in their first fight he had no fear or respect for pavlik, this time around its a totally different mind set for taylor because he knows what has happened and what can happen again.

Taylor just needs to box and keep his left hand up, everyone saw that a big right hand was just waiting to hit him.

Depending on the odds, I might take a flutter on Taylor. He could well win a decision if he has been to school and developed his brain since the last debacle.

And he CAN knock Pavlik out. That was made clear in the second round of their last scrap.

taylor will never hit pavlik with as many good consecutive shots as he did the first time around so a taylor KO can be ruled out completely

this fight boils down to one simple fact, as harold ledermen pointed out early in the first contest...

jermain taylor just cannot get out of the way of a good straight right hand

                Pavlik TKO 10

first time around pavlik was +165 underdog

this time Pavlik is a -225 to -250 favorite dependnig on the book

so make it jack loew and las vegas who expect the same taylor

just to put that into perspective, pavlik is a bigger vegas favorite than mayweather was over hatton

A bigger stronger Pavlik only hits harder, and that means Taylor will fall faster! Pavlik by KO inside of 5 rounds!
