      Kid Gavilan

      won 108 (KO 28) + lost 30 (KO 0)

      Never down

Ray Robinson said he hit Gavilan with the hardest punch he ever threw flush..He turned to see if he was out, gavilan punched him in the face and came at him harder.

Thats crazy, and he KO'd the only guy who KO'd him in the rematch. All of his wins are against solid records as well.

Here's another tough guy Joe "Iron Man" Grim who fought all the best from the early 1900's boxing era. He couldn't box at all but he was hard to knock out and it was considered an achievement if you stopped him.
Even the great Jack Johnson couldn't knock him out.

Oliver McCall has a pretty serious beard. Props to this guy for continuing to fight after 40 losses and shame on McCall for fighting a 50 year old with a record of 12-40-4.

Great shout, always among my choices. Though your facts are a bit off, as Ike Williams knocked him down in their bout.

Hagler, LaMotta, McCall, Chuvalo, McCullough, Grim, and some others had chins on the level of a Marion Wilson as well.

Great choices. Hagler, Chuvalo, are way up there on my list.

**** that. I'd rather be a a skilled slickster who cruised to an easy decision on my pure skill. I've always thought that if a guy like Arturo Gatti could fight like a Floyd Mayweather, he would. NOBODY willingly gets beaten up like that.
