Choi Yo-Sam Slips Into Coma after Win

Former WBC mini-flyweight champion Yo-Sam Choi (32-5, 19 KOs) sunk into a coma after a fight against Heri Amol (22-8-3, 7 KOs) today in Seoul, South Korea. Choi was dropped with five seconds remaining in the twelfth round in their WBO Intercontinental flyweight title clash and barely beat the count to win the fight, but then collapsed while still in the ring. He has rushed to the Soonchunhyang University Hospital and underwent emergency brain surgery.

I hope this guy comes out. That sucks for that to happen on Christmas

Kind of ironic with all the Chavez/Taylor talk we've been having on the board recently. Hope he pulls through.

Hope he gets better, that's will right there, getting up 5 seconds before the fight ends.

Horrible news, hopefully everything turns out good, but slipping into a coma is not good.

I was at the Fernando Montiel Vs Pedro alcazar fight, I was happy montiel won. Then I found out the Next day Alcazar died, made me really appreciate the sport after that. These guys are risking their lives, this **** isnt a game.
