Hearns Leonard and were bigger then Hagler they are both taller and both made the weight. Duran started fighting at 15 years old so that he was a feather weight stuff doesn't count,he was right around the same size.Comment

What is your point? I said earlier that the quality of Hagler's smaller opponents were slightly better than Monzon's, so I agreed there. I said Monzon's bigger opponents, guys who were pure MW's, were easily better.and the other guys were MULTI division champs. hearns killed himself to make 147. Killed.
Oh and instead of having same day weigh in and by Hagler weighing in at 158 for most of his fights, his opponents were able to blow up.
Thus making them actually 'bigger', but not real middleweights.
But dont tell Peetie that.
Also, I rate Griffith and Napoles above Hearns in my all time P4P list, even though I'd have Hearns beating Napoles head to head.Comment

Leonard was bigger than Hagler? I don't give a goddamn if he was taller, do you think Corrales was bigger than Tyson as well? Leonard was not a natural MW at all, Hagler was clearly the bigger man. Hearns was at his best at 147 and 154, but was a very good MW still. Just like Griffith was at his best at 147, but was a very good MW. Griffith's career at MW outdoes Hearns's career as well.
Hagler has Leonard, Hearns, and Duran. At the state they were, he lost to one of them and was taken the distance by a natural LW. Monzon stopped both of his smaller opponents, Griffith and Napoles, and was taken the distance once. Still, I give Hagler the slight edge in competition of his smaller opponents.
Monzon definitely faced the better full time MW's though.Comment
