No one has seen Robinson as a welterweight. There simply isn't any video available to make any kind of assessment of how Robinson would perform. What I do know is that Mayweather is not a natural welterweight and Robinson was knocking out middleweights with one punch.

Robinson by UD or even stoppage. Likely a UD.

robinson would win by knockout, his brute punching power and the fact he can go 20 rounds would factor in a-lot.

But Robinson was a Welter fighting Middleweights so we cannot draw any conclusion?

I also have a short clip of Robinson as a featherweight in the amatuers, 1939.

            SRR Golden Glove fights

It says Ray was a "Featherweight"

Sugar Ray Robinson Vs Charley Fusari 09-08-1950...Welter title. Ray's record going into the bout was 109 W, 1 Loss (to the Bull)

Then Ray moves up to Middle to face
Sugar Ray Robinson Vs Jean Stock 27-11-1950

Floyd Mayweather Jr. by close Decision. SRR would give PBF his share opf problems but in the end Floyd is just to much of a defensive genius and to smart for the Sugar man to handle.

Too smart? I don't get it. Explain. What makes you think someone who's faced every style up to LHW and has had far more experience than Floyd will not know what he is in for against a smaller fighter?

Floyd has great defense, but not the offense needed to fight an offensive machine like this.

OK, not a 147 fight, Ray still doesn't hold the weight of a Middle and fights at Middle, plus, this fight is funny and Ray is one of the coolest fighters I've seen after knocking someone down...just look at how he walks back to the corner.
