Isn't it time for Allan Green to step up?

The super-middleweight division is loaded with talented guys, and the best that Green could find was Rubin Williams? Green is 26 fights into his career and hasn't fought any top ranked guys outside of Edison Miranda, who dropped him twice and put his only L on the record.

There are guys like Carl Froch, Lucian Bute, Librado Andrade, Anthony Mundine and others that he could be fighting. For the time being I will not be mentioning Green among the top fighters at 168 until he fights a ranked, recognized, and respected contender.

I wonder whatever made Jean Pascal change his mind. Back during his last fight on ESPN, they said Pascal was talking mad dimes on Green, wanting a fight.

Green should go after someone good, like Lucian Bute or something. I really think Green could do some big things in boxing. No one else seems to though.

He wants the big names clearly, but either his managment/promotional team doesnt think he's ready, or the big names are just not accpeting fights with him.

He is gonna fight Ward after this one, but thats not much of a "step up" IMO. I think Green blows Ward out.

I think he could if he stepped up, but he isn't. I'd love to see him fighting Lucian Bute, that would be amazing. It won't happen for awhile, I bet.

Allan Green is a joke, he fought like a coward against Miranda and he was running for the entire fight. Green looks good knocking out tomato cans, but when he finally steps up and fights an elite fighter at 168 he will get exposed and Knocked out cold.

Yeah he needs to step up. He's clearly gotten over the loss to Miranda and in that fight he wasn't 100%.

He lost a fight at a weight he didn't belong at. His trainer John David Jackson tells me all the time about how he'd beat Miranda at 168, then why not prove it? Green has had two fights since losing to Miranda, both KOs inside of 2 rounds. I think Green has gotten his swagger back. I think Green is an excellent fighter, he just isn't showing it.
