Plus it is somewhat dubious how hard it landed. It still looks like an arm punch all these years later.

        6 or 10

Is it 6 punches, as in the title, or 10 as he has in the text? Where is the -editing and self-proof reading?
Let's not forget Wilfred Benitez vs. Maurice Hope.
and Duran vs. Moore for the lower end of the list.

Some of the greatest punches of the recent era (for me) are:

Trinidad vs Vargas, first left hook in the first round.
Mayweather's check hook vs Hatton, round 10.
Tarver's KO of RJJ in the second round.

          Some oldies:

          Hearns KO of Duran
Julian Jackson's KO of Terry Norris along the ropes

          And of course:
Julio Cesar Chavez 12th round KO of Meldrick Taylor!!!

this old man doesn't know great fights of the modern era. remember julio cesar chavez' demolition of meldrick taylor in the final round with 2 seconds remaining? Referee Richard Steele was right in halting that fight. meldrick in no way can continue the fight, he stand still but saw and heard nothing, that was a standing KO. That was the greatest punch of all time. Second was the KO of trevor berbick by tyson, third was tyson's KO punch to Larry Holmes, 4th the KO of Tommy Hearns in the hands of Iran Barkley in the 3rd round. 5th was the KO punch of tyson to marvis frazier in just 30+ seconds and 6th the KO punch of tyson to michael spinks in just 91 seconds.. remember that???

How about when Oleg's right hand shot that knocked Rahman completely out of the ring, that's gotta be the single best punch in the history of the sport.
