I heard someone talking about this off the record, they said shouting "bodyshot" half a dozen times at their top of their voice would be a good way to rig the fight without it getting caught out.

Apparently they were going to hold up a twenty feet sign saying "Oscar, take a dive now" but they thought it might draw attention.

To me it didn't look like a body shot that would KO someone. Also, it seemed to me that Oscar was faking it a little when he was in the ground yelling in pain like that, but who knows.

That is some wacked ****. I don't think it was someone in his corner. Sounded like it came straight from the fans. And thats some weird and damming evidence. That body shot didn't even look to big anyway.

There was no reason whatsoever for that fight to be fixed? WHAT is the reason? Oscar winning that fight was worth a lot of money to him. And if Oscar took a dive as people claim...who paid him to do so? Hops stopping Oscar at that point in both of their careers wasnt worth it to either man to go to lengths like that. This all stems from one thing and one thing only: People just cannot believe tht a body shot does that kind of damage. Well, guess what. They do. Try one sometime if you don't believe it

I think the theory is that nobody paid him, but after he realized the fight was hopeless, he wanted a way to get out of the fight so he "quit" by faking all the pain and stuff.

I'm speaking from experience. I got sunk by a perfect body shot before and it's pretty awful. Kind of like being kicked in the nuts, it feels like you can't breath but your lungs are still working. And by all appearances it looks like Oscar got hit with the kind of glancing liver blow that hurts the most. It's simply not possible to stand back up.

There are no exceptions to this rule.. Yelling requires the full use of your lungs..

I've had the wind knocked out of me many times and I could exhale but not inhale. When you yell you exhale so he could have had the wind knocked out of him and still been able to yell. I suggest you watch this video. The lady falls off the platform and makes a bunch of awful noises and clearly says "I can't breathe." Maybe Oscar payed her 1 million to validate his story.

Cant believe people are ******/idiotic enough to think Oscar needed Hopkins soo much as to take a dive. A fighter like Oscar who always fought the best would be too proud to do such a thing.
