Ask any 'man in the street' who the greatest band ever is, they say 'The Beatles' because that's what they've been fed. The Beatles have become canonised.

Ask any 'man in the street' who the best boxer ever is, they say Ali, because that's what all the pro-America TV/radio stations have rammed down peoples throats. Muhammed Ali has been canonised.

No 'man in the street' knows about Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones or Khaosai Galaxy or any other boxer who wasn't plastered upon the silver screen by Hollywood or NBC.

Ali was average, and I stand by that. To equate it to music, just like Elvis, average dude.

95% of fights can end with the first punch landed, which I've seen many times over by people that do know how to fight.

The first three things I learned was this: (1) try to avoid a fight if you can (2) If you cannot, the fight starts the moment you feel threatened. (3) Throw the first punch, chances are, you win.

The ones that don't, well, lots of wild swings and rolling on the ground looking for pennies.
