Mayweather's new Signature punch the Check Hook.

Awesome punch i trust he will be throwing it with more regularity now after seeing the effect it had on ricky hatton, He will be baiting come forward pressure fighters with that hook, its a thing of beauty.

It was a damn good punch but I still think his straight right hand lead is his money shot.

Are people going to shut the **** up about that punch? Just because Manny Steward labels it something, don't mean it's that or the Next Big Punch. He got to Ricky's chin quicker than Ricky got to Floyds...it wasn't any revolutionary new punch.

Who said it was new? He said the punch was beautifully thrown and landed right on the sweet spot. Which is TRUE.

So was Julian Jackson's ****er of a punch that laid out Herol Graham, but no-one keeps ****ing on about that or naming it 'The Big New Punch' like many of the douche bags on this forum.

Maybe because that punch was landed about 17 years ago. At the time many people could have been in an uproar about how perfect it was.

There's no doubt about what the money punch is, and the hook was only effective because of the rights that landed repeatedly.

And I'm with Wigley. It was a nice punch, but everyone should STFU about it already.

Punch of the year was Wlad's quadruple hook, that took the most talent, balance, speed, technique, etc. If you want to go on about a punch, talk about that one. The "check hook" was a nice counter, but not an extraordinary punch, not even May's best in that fight.
