I don't know and im sure it wasn't because he is afraid of Vitaly. Lewis wasn't in the greatest shape and he was on his way to ko Vitaly. In shape Lewis would have demolished Vitaly.

lewis wasnt on his way to ko'ing vitali. in fact it looked the opposite. lewis totally spent himself in that last round when he tried taking vitali out. he looked like he had nothing left when he went back to his corner and was totally relieved when the ref stopped the fight
