Lewis was very lucky that Vitali got that bad cut, or else he would have been KOed.

Lennox knew that if there was a rematch, he would very likely lose, because Vitali was a better fighter.

That pretty much sums it up.

          Quitali fanboy excuse:

would have, could have, should have

Quitali had his chance against the oldest, heaviest Lewis coming off the longest stretch of inactivity of his career. He lost.

Quitali then had a chance to at least prove himself to be the best of the post-Lewis HW era.

He beat a couple of fat contenders, a fat journeyman, and then ran from his mandatory like Lola. Run Quitali Run!!

None of that changes the fact that Lewis was losing the fight and turned down a huge payday for a rematch.

                When did I say otherwise?

Wow, Quitali was winning by a whopping margin of 4-2 against an out of shape Lewis!!!

Who's fault was it for Lewis's shape coming into the fight? Vitali or Lewis?

                    Lewis's fault.

He made the same mistake before and didn't learn his lesson.

Still, Quitali wasn't able to capitalize and win the fight against an out of shape Lewis.

At least Oleg Maskaev's son, Hasim Rahman, was able to do that.

Vitali got cut by Lewis`s punches, thats the whole point, its not "lucky".
Vitali was the one out on his feet staggering and holding on at th eend of the 6th while Lewis was the one throwing punches, vitali is lucky that the referee saved him and his eye.
