interesting that Issac Hlatashayo is one of the names who could fight Andre Berto.

I was looking around the web and **** and found this

which says Hlatashayo could fight Ricky Hatton in 2008. dunno how much truth there is to it though.

*if the link doesn't work .. Google the name

Isaac Hlatshwayo .. and look at the second row .. 2nd image from the left.
        Why would Hatton fight him?

I can see Rodriguez (a natural Welterweight), but Forbes and Issac Hlatashayo (a blown up Lightweight) really aren't much of a challenge.
Forbes was unhealthy as a 130 pounder. Forbes should be fighting at 140 where the talent pool is thin and he can contend. I think he has enough craft to give Berto fits. Anyone who can box a sophisticated, composed fight is going to be tough for Berto to beat. I really do think Berto is too big and strong though. Youth is a powerful thing to overcome.

I have no idea why Hatton would fight Issac

notice how the article said "could"

its not set in stone or anything.

and yeah none of those opponents listed seem like they would be good opponents ... Alfonzo Gomez would be a much better choice.

Yeah call him green or one dimmensional all truths but I like watching Berto fight. All he does, is come straight forward and throw power combinations. I bet he's going to get into a FOTY candidate in his future.

Also I think he'll get better at the art of boxing as opposed to fight.

Forbes' skills can make it a very dangerous fight for Berto. To me, Berto is the next Jeff Lacy, hes a physically strong looking guy, but I think the power is overrated and only a matter of time before he gets the Jeff Lacy treatment.

Berto can't deal with a boxer and his chin isn't that good. Forbes isn't a puncher, but he has the skills and volumes to give Berto some issues. I really wouldn't count Forbes out of this one if they fight, Forbes is a real fighter. He isn't just a reality star, he's been fighting competitively for 20 years. I'd go with the youngster, but Forbes on the right night can be his Buster Douglas.

I know your a boxing writer but, i think your giving forbes to big of a chance.
Berto has a great jab and is fast as hell, he could maybe even outbox forbes. plus berto hits like a truck and could ko forbes at any time duringthe fight.

I see a ton of flaws in Berto's style. He's very stationary, doesn't move his head, doesn't take a punch well and doesn't deal with craft that well. Don't get me wrong, Berto is ver good but he still doesn't have the experience to deal with some of these more polished fighters.

If Forbes was just a little bigger, I'd pick him. A guy with movement will give Berto trouble because he has to pick up his feet. I'd give the edge to Berto because Berto is young and aggressive. But no one has ever blasted Forbes out and I don't think it'll happen in this fight.

Alot of people thought D-Hop and Bojado would be too much for Forbes, also.
