    Joe Calzaghe tribute thread

Joe Calzaghe's convincing win over Mikkel Kessler in November cemented his status as one of the world's best boxers. His dominating performance against Jeff Lacy, who most experts predicted would defeat him, was one of the best I've ever seen.

In this thread, I invite people to post only positive comments about Joe Calzaghe.

        Just wondering...

If JC has 3 fights left to cement a legacy, what should they be?

If he beats B-Hop, people will say he was over the hill.

That's leaves two fights to convince the remaining doubters...

Winky and Pavlik... Would that be enough?

Joe Calzaghe's last name sounds like some kind of name for a sausage.

Don't get me wrong. He's a great, great talent.
He has it all: Speed, power, chin, and boxing ability.

The lack of great competition on his professional record is what ****ed him up.
44 pro fights on his resume and not many greats to choose from.
Now he's fighting a 43 year old man in Bernard Hopkins.

The best fighters he fought (as in the ones who actually accomplished great things in their career) were old as **** when he decided to fight them -- Hopkins & Eubank.

No longer in his prime. I take back the "old as ****" comment.
