Amir Khan has called out British lightweight champion Jon Thaxton following his recent first round victory over Graham Earl.
Khan was expected to face his toughest test yet against Earl, but took just 72 seconds to despatch the former British title holder and retain his Commonwealth crown.
The Bolton bomber is keen to sweep up the domestic scene before stepping onto the world stage but says Thaxton has gone very quiet since the Earl fight.
"In the past Jon has always been saying that he'll be the first to beat me, but I've heard nothing since I destroyed Earl, who's a much better fighter than Thaxton," said Khan.
"Before the fight I said I'd retire Earl, and I'll do the same to Thaxton. Jon's a good fighter but he's not in my league. I'll be too quick and too strong for him, and I can't see the fight going the distance.
"In fact I think I'd get more more of a challenge from Delia Smith - at least she can break an egg!
"To borrow one of her phrases, 'Come on Jon, let's be having you!
"Sadly I think there's more chance of Thaxton turning up on the side of a pint of milk than getting in the ring with me."
Khan is due to box again on February 2 at the ExCel Arena, London, while Thaxton is undefeated since stepping down from light-welter in 2002 and a fight with Khan is now the next logical step.
