If you pay attention to the fight Cortez only broke them up when they were holding, when they were letting there hands go and showed some sort of intention to fight inside he didnt break them. Watching live it seemed Cortez leaned towards Floyd winning, but that couldnt be further from the truth.

Again Cortez only broke them up when they were holding, no doubt because Ricky likes to hit and hold, which is illegal and no doubt Floyd's camp talked to Cortez about that.
Go and watch the fight then come back and try to post something sensible. Cortez was breaking them up before either man had the chance to throw punches.

You just answered your own statement. He wouldnt have to yell break if they were not holding. Youre supposed to yell break when fighters hold to offset a potential hit and hold which is illegal. If Cortez wouldnt have yelled break as much Ricky would have had points taken left and right from Cortez FOR hitting and holding, if anything Cortez did Ricky a favor because the point differential woud have been even wider.

What the hell was Cortez supposed to do? when you got a fighter clinching every 5 seconds. Hatton many times was walking in without even throwing a punch to hold and then try to hit.

Funny how everyone who complained in this thread is from Europe for the most part, which means you guys are just mad because your guy didnt win.

I haven't asked a question and clearly you have not understood anything I have said or anything you have watched. There was no hitting, holding or hitting and holding because Cortez did not allow it. To separate fighters when nothing of this nature is happening is just plain incompetent and anyone who defends it is either biased, ****** and quite often both.

The only semi-reasonable point you made is that Cortez possibly done Ricky a favour. That may be correct, if Cortez had let the action develop as he was supposed to then it is quite possible that Mayweather would have had the better of those exchanges but in your haste to attack Hatton and Hatton fans you have overlooked the most simple and basic point of all - bad refereeing is bad refereeing period. It does not matter who benefits or suffers at the hand of it what matters is that it is unacceptable and should be punished if it becomes a regular occurrence.
