I've thought about this some in the past. Conclusion I came to was that anyone who makes their living in the ring is entitled to success (especially financial), whether I think they're a jerk or not. There are worse things to be than a jerk, and Junior Witter isn't an exceptional enough case for me to resent any success he might earn. Boxing's a weird sport, it does mad things to people's emotions... the fighters themselves are no exception to that. I don't think Junior is that bad a guy.
Either way, I enjoy watching him fight. As such, I'm interested to see if his abilities can hold up against the best junior-welter opposition around. He blew it against Judah, but seven years on I think he might be starting to show the mentality needed to deliver when faced with bigger challenges.
The last 2/3 of the Andreas Kotelnik fight were shameful, but he's also not the first to be given a gift against opposition he should've dealt with capably.
The reason I don't put too much stock in the past with Witter, is because I think the Junior Witter of '08 is a mentally much improved version of the Junior Witter from just 2, 3 years ago.
