I see many of you basically writing Hopkins out against Joe, but, don't be so sure about that. Joe is a good fighter, however, his competition has not been so incrediable that he should be the shoe in winner against Hopkins. Lacy was an unskilful slugger, Manfreddy left something to be desired and there are other simular not the greatest fighters who he beat. Remember Bika, who is not that skillful made it hard for Joe. Hopkins though he is getting long in tooth, still is a skillful guy. Joe might win but that is not definate. Go back and look at joe/byron scott

Byron Mitchell? I personally though that was one of Joe's best performance. I have never seen a man hit so many times in two rounds. He got flash Kd'd, then Mitchell thought he had him hurt went in for the finish (lol) but infact he just ended up getting beaten from pillar to post in the same round and never fought again.

      A crappy example.

Calzaghe shouldn't agree to fight Hopkins in Las Vegas. He'll be robbed by the crooked judges there like so many have been in the past, and may need to deal with a referee who's supportive of Hopkins, the way Cortez was supportive of Mayweather.

            Supportive by disallowing greco-roman techniques.

            The excuses continue...

wait, that doesnt make sense. BHOP is the hugger, not Cal. If the ref allows BHOP to do his Hatton impression, wouldnt that be that he would be supportive of BHOP?

True except where factoring in the UK and in reply topic to more moaning over Hatton getting beat.

Must admit bit worried about the judges and ref myself but Calzaghe is a winner, he'll know he'll have to probably win by a landslide so that refs can't choose anyone but himself - he'll just up his game, like he always has done against good fighters.

As for the ref....we'll all fairness to Ricky Hatton (I like his style of fightin) he invites a fussy referee to stop him fightin on the inside, you cant punish Joe or stop the action for peppering B-hop from the outside, so I don't see as biased ref troubling Joe as much as Ricky.

In any event if Calzaghe throws 1000 punches in this fight and B-hop throws 10/12 a round the decision cant go anywhere else!

If Hopkins takes one or two half-steps back then 900 (rather than 750) won't land clean, hard or at all

                    12 x 12 = about 150
