Hopkins vs. Calzaghe Close To Being Final

According to a recent interview with The Sun, WBO/WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe (44-0, 32KOs) says that a potential bout with light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (48-4-1, 32KOs) is close to being final. The fighters agreed on a 50-50 split for the bout, with Calzaghe making a career-high purse. [details]

Thats good that they agreed on making the fight..... Now we get to see Joe Cal embarass hopkins LOL. If Joe is 100% confident he can beat him, I believe him. He proved it with LACY and KESSLER.

Hopkins will land 100 clean, hard lead and counter right hands on Calzaghe in 10 rounds and take him

Eubank and Hopkins are quite similar because they both like to lean in with the right hand, difference is that Eubank couldn't do it against a southpaw stance and Hopkins can

interesting fight, although im sure that if calzaghe wins will not get the recognition cos hopkins is too old. unless he really school hopkins, but i find that very difficult.
cal by decision is my prediction

B Hop is going to make sure this fight is middle to late 2008. Then he's going to make a boring fight & make sure Joe C. looks as terrible as possible. Joe C will win a decision. He will NOT KO Hopkins. Only by beating Roy Jone will B Hop or Calzaghe ever be considered the best light heavyweight of this era.

On the boards Calzaghe wont get the credit he deserves, never has. The fact is Hopkins (regardless of his age) is currently ranked higher than Joe in PFP rankings and beat Tarver and Winky in his last two fights.
