Does Cotto vs Clottey = Cotto vs N'Dou, but...?

I maybe the only one but if you gave the fight to N'Dou vs Cotto then I wouldnt have argued. I gave N'Dou alot of those rounds people gave to Cotto. I thought he put alot of pressure on Cotto, hit him quite easily, and had Cotto nearly running late in the fight.

This Clottey fight reminds me of that. Normally I would go with Clottey all the way in this fight but I want Cotto to win because I think Floyd will come back and this is the best matchup. I think the Cotto camp likes the Clottey fight because even though he is solid, he still covers up way too much and even though everyone says he has a great D, he still gets hit alot. He even let Chico hit him alot. Still, I think he can give Cotto some problems. It should be a great, FOTY type canidate but I do like the fact that Cotto will finally be fighting someone who is as big as him. The only other guy he's really fought is Shane but even he looked like a little boy next to Cotto. Clottey wont. If he wins that fight then I bet Floyd will fight him late in 08

i like cotto, but (insert fighter's name) would beat him...

it's getting old really. i could dedicate some time to posting a reasonable response, but it's only going to fall on deaf ears.

we watched clottey have an awful time with a much more crude body puncher in richard gutierrez. clottey is too up and down to deal with a fighter like miguel cotto.

cotto has had 2 1/2 years and 11 world class, championship fights since he out pointed n'dou. why even bring it up? he has only gotten better...

if you thought the cotto/n'dou fight could have gone either way you have serious problems. psych-ward caliber problems.

Ndou has a better Chin than Clottey. And Cotto is bigger now 147 he is more comfortable at that weight. but this will surely be a great fight.

Cotto won 116-112 at the very least.

Cotto beat Ndou but he ran in the last 3 rounds and Ndou had a broken ribs at that.

              Cotto TKO Clottey

People don't seem to understand. You underrate Cotto's boxing skills because he is big and strong and not flashy. Then when you see him box like he did against N'Dou and Mosley you think he is running. But on both occasions he was hitting the other guys with plenty of solid punches while moving back.

That's many keep picking against Cotto everytime and keep being wrong.

The difference is of course that Clottey is a superior offensive fighter with a much more varied arsenal. Clottey is a better fighter, just not nearly as tough as N'Dou. Clottey may be a couple fights from being a good opponent for Cotto, a nice test.

yeah cotto did back up in that fight because of his issues with his stamina. the jennings fight he looked like he shed a lot of that muscle he had, i think that was their intention to bring up his wind. i think it will b like that fight clottey will have broke ribs and a swollen face. that is not the same cotto from then. he is a much better fighter now. he has more experience. it will b a great fight clottey is still tough
