Nah you would see the age difference if they fought. Floyd is masterful in slipping punches and often times coming out of exchanges untouched. I think Forrest would fall into the trap of being gun ho and get countered frequently. You gotta remember that Forrest struggled with Qaurtey who is a bit more defennsive oriented than Forrest last two opponents. Although he had a bad should his jab was nullified by Quartey. I think Floyd could win this easy going in and out.

Mayweather, especially how Forrest has been fighting these days
The way to beat Floyd ( well try ) is throw alot of punches, back him up,make him work, something Forrest wouldent be able to do these days, his stamina is suspect,i think Floyd would counter of the backfoot and pick him off,Floyd is no Mosley,he dont get discourged easily or get into wars, hes smart,Forrest hasnt got the tools to beat Mayweather, only the size
Are we forgetting the Quartey fight, where Ike won and got robbed,Ike aint the same fighter,he went on to get outboxed and floored by Winky,Winky made it look easy compared to Forrest,i dont think Forrest could do it against FloydComment

You've got to be kidding. Floyd would have old ass Vernon gasping for breath trying to land on him. All Vernon has going for him is his reach and height. He's not fast enough to land flush on Floyd and what's he gonna do fighting a slick fighter in his prime.
Maybe 5 years ago Vernon had a chance. If Vernon's smart he wouldn't even mention Floyd's name. He needs to fight someone who will stand in front of him or anything but a counterpuncher. Spinks would probably beat Vernon as well.Comment

I would bet on Forrest, but no more than a few bucks! Cause just when somebody thinks they've found someone who can beat Floyd, Floyd does his thing. Wins.
In over 200 some posts on these forums, I think this is only the second time I've ever addressed or posted about Floyd Mayweather. Mostly, I just read all your opinions.
I think that when Floyd Mayweather has retired, years later, another generation is going to look back on him and wonder how anyone could have bet against him.
I became a believer in his greatness after the Hatton fight. The only question is when does an opponant become too big for Floyd's great skills to overcome. I think jr middleweight is pushing it and middleweight will be too much, no matter how great he is.Comment
