i do agree with pavlik about being naturally bigger.

Taylor isnt tiny himself but i do think the higher weight benifets pavlik...maybe almost in the way it did for cotto fighting 7 pounds heavier from 140 to 147.

although (that being a good example of it working) it doesnt mean it cant have opposite effects and make him slower.

wont be able to tell until the opening bell rings.

it'll be a GREAT fight starting off the 08 calandar year.

but i too dont understand why taylor doesnt want the rematch to be a title fight that must force the fighters to make the 160 limit.

i think it would favor taylor more so if it was at 160.

    so who knows.

Plan B is pretty much the same, except he throws more/less jabs before his big right hand. Dont get me wrong, I like Pavlik, hes an exciting fighter, and I had him KOing Taylor first time out, but I had Taylor getting some sense beat into him and totally outclassing Pavlik in the second and third fights, and by outclassing, I'm talking as if we put an amatuer in with Floyd Mayweather. I'm sorry, but Pavlik cannot box to save his life.
LOL.. you know crap about Pavlik, you are just muttering crap....

sorry fool but jab, jab, jab, jab big right hand is BOXING..if you aint JABBING then your just fighting..

kid got a chin too with that jab jab jab jab right hand..

and look how consistently he landed that jab jab jab jab,,JT cant land jabs like that for crap...then what? Jermaine gets someone hurt and throws wild crazy shots?? thats boxing???

        PLEASE STFU...

i think pavliks point to all of this was that Taylors decision to make this fight at 166 was just plain ****** all around

              My thoughts

Ok so ive watched the first fight about 10 times now and I have yet to see where taylor can change anything in a couple of months to alter the outcome of the fight. Of course people point out the 2nd round which i agree he did hurt kelly. But kelly didnt go down until Taylor threw an elbow, kelly dropped his hands to try and talk **** about it and got caught. I doubt that will happen again in the next fight. Ive also heard people talk about how close Taylor was to finishing off Pavlik and that if Taylor had done this or done that the fight would have been over. Being able to Finish a fighter is an innate ability. The instant you have your opponent hurt you have literally seconds to evaluate how your opponent is now defending themselves and throw punches at the exposed areas. Yes its easy to say now that Taylor should have thrown uppercuts and if he wouldnt have gotten gassed then he would have won the fight. Thats because hindsight is 20/20. So those two arguments are just as valid as if Pavlik were to come on and say well if i woudlnt have dropped my hands than i wouldnt have gotten caught in the first place. So basically what I want to know is what is he going to do in this training camp to better prepare himself for this rematch? He was supposedly in the best shape of his career according to himself and steward and was "gassed" from waisted punches in the 2nd round? he landed 52 he threw in the mid 80s so at most it was 30 or so wasted punches that he could not recover from? Also look how much different they reacted when each had the other in trouble. Kelly took his time and easily destroyed taylor in the corner. he kept his eyes focused on taylor and gave himself plenty of room to put together punches (including two viscious uppercuts) to put taylor away. Bottom line yes anything can happen in a boxing match but certain skills and techniques will always prevail. Thats why its called the sweet "SCIENCE"

i just ignored that post myself, as it was either intentionally inflammatory or just plain ignorant.

the knockdowns of both miranda and taylor featured fast and vicious left uppercut, left hook combos that would be impressive from a featherweight much less a middleweight.... and thats pavlik's weak hand

people saying pavlik is one dimensional are nuts, the reason he is so good is he lulls guys to sleep with his jab right hand and when he lands one he can open up with every single punch in the book, uppercuts, hooks and from either hand

pavlik just has taylor's number, taylor barely beat him in the amateurs when he was a grown man at 21 and kelly was seventeen. pavlik won't leave this fight in the hands of the judges, he'll end taylor's career with his fists. jermain will be destroyed mentally when he gets KTFO'd a second time

i said immediately after the first fight that taylor was ruined, i got a lot of bad karma for it for some reason.

im 100 percent confident that ill be proven right on feb 17th

taylor is going to try to win this fight in boring fashion, backing up all night and counterpucning one shot at a time off pavliks jab. he did it effectively in spurts the first time around but there is no way in hell you can avoid pavlik for 12 rounds, pavliks advantage over taylor is he is willing to go to hell and back to impose his will..... even if pavlik isnt "winning" he is always fighting his fight and confident that he will take over eventually.

Taylor took career ending punishment in the first fight. He might take life altering punishment in the second.
