Hatton's body shots were getting blocked and smothered by PBF, The reason why Hatton didnt back up to gain leverage on his shots is becuase Floyd would catch him with straight shots hard jabs and straight rights. He underestimated Floyds inside fighting skills.

I think the level of opposition was too good for him to land any meaningful Bodyshot, Its easier and okay to land them on Shot fighter like Castillo but a prime fighter like Mayweather,Cotto or Mosley will counter you with the right all night, Hatton was too wary of the right Hand and underestimate Mayweather's left hook which PBF seem to be landing all night when Hatton comes head first in, thats why he couldnt give himself space to land his own bodyshots so i think Billy graham was right in that sense

Mayweather, in his shell. covers his entire torso and head. They have to be lowballing his reach.

I dont think Hatton should have worried too much being long range. Just dont try and outbox him when he is at range. And choose the time carefully to close the gap with a jab and then unload.

Floyd did a good job of covering up but also Hatton will get close then take a little step back and unload to the body. Floyd would duck under Ricky's left arm and grab hold preventing the left hook from landing, and in addition any time the action got that close Cortez separated the two before Hatton could create that bit of space.

You guys think that Hatton got a little hesitant to throw that left hook to the body when he watched 24/7 and saw Mayweather demonstrate his counter for it?

No, at that point Hatton was still of the opinion that Floyd lacked the pop to hurt him. I also think that if Floyd did counter the body shot like that, Hatton's left hook would do more damage than the counter.

Correction, almost everytime Hatton threw that left hook PBF saw it coming a mile off and ducked it. Hatton lunges with that shot and was over shooting PBF and PBF was ending up in head locks. I doubt PBF can grab Hattons arm with his neck.

Floyd was holding around the waist. And then they were seperated too quickly for Ricky to be able to fire off some shots.

I'm not debating that. I'm saying that when Hatton DID get off his left hook he was either counter hooked, blocked/smothered (hatton admitted this and all saw it), or PBF ducked and Hatton ended up having PBF in a head lock most times PBF ducked that left hook.
